WebMay 29, 2024 · It’s been over a decade since I took the heater box out to replace the heater core but I think that metal tab (in your hand, in the 1st pic) is supposed to align with that clip below the “door”. I don’t know if its the wrong heater box or defrost duct. WebMay 20, 2024 · This low density (open cell foam) is perfect for sealing the duct joints as the plastic is irregular and thin and this puts a nice low pressure seal that conforms to the shapes well. 1/2" by 1/2" open cell foam would also work well. WebNov 5, 2013 · Done the flap seals, actually easy if you take time. Cut the rubber, glued it and then made staples from a length of welding wire to replicate to originals.
