WebGo to your control panel -> Hardware & Sound -> Sound -> Recording Tab -> Right-click the microphone you use and select properties -> Levels Tab -> Reduce microphone boost to zero. The microphone boost was causing background static for me when I'd finish talking in discord. Reducing this to zero fixed that problem.
